     It is late winter here in Maryland (USA), the time when we hear birds begin to sing.  Even though snow lingers in shadowy places, here and there winter aconites blanket last autumn's soggy leaves.  Sweet witch hazel casts its perfume from blood-red plumes.     I will miss the snow, but spring is my favorite time.

So, I was neglecting this page because I was hard at work on another project elsewhere on deviantArt, and then I fell down the stairs and was immobilized for a lot of the summer, and now it is almost gone. Now that I'm again out and about I have to go do geology stuff on the ocean for most of September, unless the hurricanes get me.  (I'm really hoping to snag prrrplegrrrl (https://www.deviantart.com/prrrplegrrrl)'s beautiful new digital cam and get some shots at the beach) sillylittleidiot (https://www.deviantart.com/sillylittleidiot) is back at college now and I'm already missing him, but I know he's really happy, so all is well.

so many talented and generous people from around the planet assembled in one spot!  there is yet hope for us !
